· The next OPRA residents meeting will be held at the Wagon Works Sports & Social Club, Tuffley Park (Winget) on Monday November 9th 7pm. All residents are welcome to attend and I will be posting an agenda nearer to the time. OPRA need the continued support of the residents and we really hope to see you there.

· We now have our community notice board up and running! The board is located at the entrance to Tuffley Park (Winget) from the Laburnum Road. OPRA will reguarly update the board with local events and activities and keep you informed of future meetings and OPRA activity. Please feel welcome to contact the committee should you have anything that you would like to display or if you have any comments on what you would like to see in there. Please if you can, reguarly check the notice board as we are not able to distribute flyers to every household due to cost. We will continue to notify those that have provided e-mail addresses and we hope to increase this activity with the more e-mail addresses provided. If you have not already provided OPRA with your e-mail address and would like to do so please contact jennie@oaklandspark.org - There is currently a BlackBridge policing map displayed and we have also made it available to download on this site in the "police" section.

· The community Payback unit will be able to start work on the notice board on Wednesday 9th Sep 09, subject to offender and staff availability. The team are to work on the following dates: Wednesday 9th Sep, Friday 11th Sep and Saturday 12th Sep. On completion of this phase of the work we can then start work on the cricket hut repaint and Duke of Beaufort project redecoration.

· OPRA would like to say a BIG thank you to the very kind person that has removed the lump of concrete from the gateway at the top of Laburnam Road so quickly. A great job has been done and this area has made safer. THANK YOU !

· Cineworld on the Peel Centre have kindly donated tickets towards our raffle for our fun day, 20th June at Widden.

· The new lock on the gates to Widden Old Boys and Old Cryptians was broken and removed in one week of it being added. Studies In Work, a local health and Safety Consultancy have donated a new lock to go on the gate, thanks to Tug Wilson.
